A California Valentine's

So we had an opportunity to go to San Diego over Valentine's weekend and we had an absolute BLAST!!!!! I have never been on an airplane and Matt had never seen the Ocean and niether of us had ever been to California, so this was a trip of firsts for us. We flew out of SLC, Utah on Wednesday, Feb 11 and arrived in San Diego at 1:00 in the afternoon. We stayed at a resort hotel called The Catamaran. This place was Amazing!! Right as you walk in the front lobby there in the middle of it stood a waterfall oasis, complete with tropical fish and birds!!!! Our hotel was a block away from the coast and situated beautifully on mission bay; practically surrounded by water!! On Thursday we went to Sea World and saw the "Believe" Shamu show! Wow ! THAT THING CAN SPLASH!!! It's a good thing we weren't on the front row. We then went to the San Diego Zoo on friday and had a great time there as well. Then on Saturday (Valentine's Day) We spent a lazy day at the beach. The weather was a little on the chilly side (60 degrees F) but to us Rexburg folk it felt wonderful!! Matt and I played in the ocean water while the locals all that we were Loco! What a great way to spend Valentine's Day!! Sunday we lounged around the hotel enjoying the beautiful grounds and marvelous pool and hot tub facilities, trying to soak it all up as much as we could before our departure on Monday. Oh what a fabulous time we had!! We Absolutely Loved being there and can't wait to return again someday!!!
